Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson has been in seclusion, mourning the shocking murders of her mother, brother, and young nephew. But the singer and actress recently posted a message on her MySpace page, thanking fans for their support. "I want to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time," Hudson wrote late last week. "My sister and I take great comfort and strength from your love and concern."
Hudson has also given the go-ahead to clothing retailer The Gap to use her image in a celebrity-driven holiday ad campaign. The Secret Life Of Bees star was given the option to back out, said company rep Olive Doyne. "She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward," Doyne said.
Hudson was photographed for the Shine Your Own Star campaign back in July in New York City. Her image, a playful shot in a red sweater, will be seen in magazines and newspapers and on billboards in New York and Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the killings is ongoing. Her estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, considered a person of interest in the case, remains in custody until December 3rd on a parole violation.
